  1.                        Acetylene! Touched torch! An orange 
  2.  ball, and all life candled on its memory: 
  3.  arranged so, earth held up between such satellites 
  4.  as sun, as eye, high noon between the Atlas Range 
  5.  and Madagascar, drifting west, and nightfall settled 
  6.  here on my stooped shoulders like a black box-cameraΓÇÖs 
  7.  cape, squeeze-bulb in my hand, scintilla 
  8.  set to powder in the instant still, stillΓÇö 
  9.  O say, what might I see? See land limned 
  10.  in a whey of white stone falling to the seafloor, chyme 
  11.  and lymph and salt and pulse-beat just off-center, sun
